Skirlaugh occurs as village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, in an locality called Holderness approximately 8 miles Northerly East of Hull. A parish church, St. Augustine's Church, was built by Walter de Skirlaw who would later turn into a Bishop of Durham in the late 14th Century.
